E: So, do you work or are you a student?
S: Well, I’m still a student and currently I’m studying in the XX University of Hong Kong.

E: What do you study?
S: My major is Global and Environment Science. So it’s something related to the environmental protections and policy designing.

E: Why did you choose to study this subject?
S: Well, because when I was in high school, I was passionate in environmental issues and I’m quite a green persons. I believe that our earth is needed to be protected now, because our human activities ha… has, have already created various damages.

E: Now let’s move on to talk about picnics. Did you go on picnics when you were a child?
S: No, because, you know, in Chine… Chinese societies, when you are student, and your parents would like to have… would like to let you study lots of things, about the art, about your subjects, like the science, mathematics, something like these. So, I actually don’t have… didn’t have time to go to picnic. And my parents don’t like pi… pi… picnic.

E: How often do you go on picnics now?
S: Because currently, I’m in Hong Kong, so I’m going, I’m would like to explore more about my life. I went to picnics with my friends several times a year.

E: What is the difference between having a picnic and cooking at home?
S: That's interesting questions. I think for the picnic, we can just bring some {lip smacking noise} can… like the finished food, the cooked food, like some sushis and like some {lip smacking noise} {lip smacking noise} sandwich or fruits. But when you at home, you have more choice, you can f… have the hot pot, you can s… have some dumplings or many other things. But the feeling is different, when you go to picnic, you will feeling that you are having the holiday, you are enjoying the holiday. But when you cook at home, you might feel like it’s daily routine.

E: Do people in your country like to go on picnics?
S: Well, I think so. Because, as I had [exchange experience in Europrean… European countries, and those international student and local students would like to go picnic gathers to know more friends with others or something else. And we do went to the picnic frequently {lip smacking noise}, about… let’s say four times a month.

E: Now let’s talk about sports. Do you like sports?
S: I like playing sports with my friends, but I’m not a sporty person.

E: What’s your favorite sport?
S: My favorite sport is badmintons. Because when you play badmintons, you can play the sports with your friends or have some kind of competitions between your friend and… They… I believe those kind of activities can help me strength my friendship.

E: Do you watch sports matches?
S: Would you mind repeat the question?

E: Do you watch sports matches?
S: Well, actually, I don’t. As I said because I would like to playing sports with my friends, but I really not care about the sports events. The only s… sports matching like I feel I have some knowledges about is the Olympics. I do… I mean the history or ceremony of Olympics, but not the sports events. So, I didn’t watch any sport matches.
